Day 1 of the RPG here

After Hoshiko listed her hobbies/interests, Daisy nearly beamed as he gushed "Weading is good! I should do that more! And martial arts sounds like someding we have in common, Hoshiko-san! Which martial arts have you learned, if you don'd mind me asking?"

Then Bellbud spoke up, showing that she was pleased with what she heard from the girl "That's a good set of interests, yes. Would you mind if I had a look at some point at some of the fashion designs you've come up with?" She asked that question with curiosity and interest, because even though she had never done any design work, Bellbud did know a fair amount about the fashion industry. She was wondering how good she would think Hoshiko's designs were, thinking she might even be able to give this girl tips on what people want. She never expected someone with actual experience in the paid fashion industry.

Hoshiko grinned at Daisy. "Karate and Aikido mostly. Travelling as much as I did growing up kinda left me limited in that area." At Bellbud's question she pointed to the store window across the street from them and grinned. "There's a few examples right there." The store was a Y's outlet store, one of her father's brands, and the mannequins on the right were currently displaying the latest teen and young adult fashions of the season; the adult ones were on the left. "The ones on the right are mine, the ones on the left are my father's."

Daisy turned thoughtful in response to Hoshiko naming Karate and Aikido as the main martial arts styles she was taught. Soon, he replied happily "Well, those are two useful techniques, yes. Fine choices for someone who can only specialize in a couple styles like you. I also learned karate growing up."

Bellbud was shocked when Hoshiko pointed across the street and said a few of her designs were there. She followed with her eyes in the direction Hoshiko was pointing. She became even more shocked when she saw that the girl was pointing to a Y's outlet store. Bellbud turned back to Hoshiko with the shock still written all across her face "Y's? Don't tell me you're the daughter of Yohji Yamamoto!"

Hoshiko's smile at Daisy turned sheepish at Bellbud's outburst. "Uh.....yeah? My older sister Limi has branched off on her own now so I kinda took up where she left off. However unlike her I prefer making designs for all types of prople whereas her are more rocker type. Don't get me wrong, i love her to pieces, but I prefer to be a bit broader in my designs, if you take my meaning."

Bellbud was still amazed that this girl she and Daisy just helped out was already a well-known fashion designer. So it took her a minute to fully comprehend everything about this - especially what Hoshiko had just said. Finally, when it had all sunk in, Bellbud smiled at Hoshiko "That's great that you design for a wider audience, Hoshiko-san! Don't get me wrong - it's not like I hate Limi-san's work, but it's just not my style, if you know what I mean. Whereas some of your pieces are my style. I think I even have a few of your articles of clothing. You're under the Lyra Nebula label, correct?"

Daisy was also interested in knowing more about Hoshiko, so he then asked "Do you have a favwite color, Hoshiko-san, eider in general or in dee cloding you design?"

Hoshiko nodded, blushing slightly at Bellbud's praise. "Correct. I also do Nebula Kids for the elementary school ages." Then she heard Daisy's question. "Well personally my favorite colors are purple, silver and most shades of blue. I do admit that I show that in my designs a bit, but I do try to use as many colors as I can. Except orange. Can't seem to work with that one."

"I really don't have any ideas today," replied Haruka. "I'm just needing to relax, after that last set of encounters." She smile over at her lover. "Do you have anything in particular in mind, Michiru?"

((OOC: I've been asked to temp Snapdragon for a post, so I apologize if anything here's a bit ... off.))

Snapdragon chuckled softly at the request that he do the chicken teriyaki and also some dessert, but didn't say anything as he mixed up both the meat and the batter for some brownies, since one required the stove and the other the oven.

It would take nearly an hour before his parts were finished, mostly because good brownies take time to bake to a proper finish...

Sakuya's eyes brightened at the thought of going to the beach. "I like that idea too!" Sakuya bit into her toast as she thought more about what they should do for the day. "Mou! I can't decide the beach or the zoo...I want to go to both...." She grabbed her orange juice to drink and continued to contemplate where to go.

She set her coffee down, "Plus the sound of the waves crashing on the sand is quite relaxing." Michiru looked over to Setsuna, "What do you think?"

Haruka chuckled at Michiru. "Of course you'd like the beach, and you do look good when you're there, love," she half-teased her better half. "And, this is a rather rare day, weatherwise. I'm game."

She'd then shrug her shoulders at Hotaru. "I personally don't mind, but the others would have to weigh in as well."

Two weeks....
Two brutal, unrelenting weeks...

Saiori grunted as she carried water from from one pool of the shrine to another in a pair of buckets attached to a long bamboo pole. Two steps ahead of her Henko was groaning from the exertion and sweat adorned her Miko's robe, another pair of buckets attached to a pole, unlike saiori's leotard, metal weights dangling from heavier chains that were in turned attached to Henko's arms, waist, and ankles. Yuka sat off to the side, a broken pole and spilled buckets pouring over stones, while Henko's mother Joanna dabbed a damp cloth to Yuka's forehead, while her aging husband sat lotus-style meditating calmly, while another boisterous voice was chanting 'Heave-ho! Another GO!' as she ran full bore with three poles, heavier chains, and MUCH heavier weights that showed absolutely NO sign of slowing the Mighty Maiko. "C'mon ladies! just four more laps and you're done! then we move onto something even HARDER!! lets go!!" the young martial artist quipped happily, the pug-nosed girl seemingly lifting the poles and water buckets like she was powerlifting.
the corner of Kikujiro's mouth twitched. 'harder than this??' he thought. even he at his best would have been hard pressed to keep up with Maiko, and his daughter was more like her mother than he. what kind of grueling instructor did she have that when, that night two weeks earlier, the girls had come sneaking in well after curfew, something that Henko respected religiously, but slipped up on while she and her friends had been celebrating the beginning of Henko's training with her parents.
the two had been disappointed in their daughter, but the look of surprise on their faces when not only Jun's parents arrived to claim their 'wayward daughter' but Saiori's father, Yuka's parents, and a stern-looking woman who was obviously Maiko's mother all appeared on the scene.
When it was discussed how to punish their tardy children, Maiko's mother had suggested that they let Kikujiro and Joanna decide since they were all at the tenjoumizuno shrine, when he first began to mention 'training' the dour woman's eyes began to shine, and suggested they follow one of maiko's old routines....
Jun's parents had of course refused, dragging their daughter behind them, her head hung low.
Saiori's father of course, agreed, but demanded that his daughter be allowed to wear something more stylish than the miko robes the others were being forced to wear, and of course there were the weights.
Yuka's mother protested the use, while Maiko's mother tried to suggest training at weights that gravitated as the user's strength increased. so that the first time the girls saw improvement, the weight would double and so on and so on, using experimental gravity technology that the 'highly trained special mission force' she helped keep in top shape. Maiko of course, tried to clamp her hand over her mother's mouth, but was promptly defeated. again, making the young witch's parents ask 'are we sure that saiyan's dont really exist?' in a quiet whisper.

so a compromise was made, parents could alter small aspects of the punishment, but only for their own children. for instance Saiori had a Gucci-brand work-out uniform to wear, complete with stylish belt, slippers, and gemstudded hair band, but wouldnt have any horrible weights that would bulk out the tender princess, while yuka just wore the same outfit as Henko and Yuka, Yuka tried the weights but found she was barely able to keep up in the first lap (of fifty) while Maiko felt (to keep it challenging) that extra-weights were needed for her.
(again, making Kikujiro ask his wife, 'ARE WE SURE THAT SAIYANS DONT EXIST FOR REAL????').

Henko just did her best, as always. by the end of the first day. she had asked her parents for the sweet embrace of death. by the end of the third, she asked that they kill her out of respect for all the times she showed her respect, and by the end of the first week, she swore there was a light at the end of the tunnel. after two weeks she smirked and grunted as she felt newfound power in her legs with each step. even commenting that her bag certainly felt lighter than it did before and (not that her mother would ever admit she'd spied on her daughter) looked at herself in her underwear in her rooms full-body mirror, admiring the sculpting her body was making.

not to mention growth in the one area that Henko felt self-conscious about.
of course, the real fun was the workout that happened AFTER most everyone had left, and the three girls would watch Henko with her mother, Maiko would play shogi with Kikujiro, while Yuka and Saiori would either play with Feral or on a game console that had been donated and given to Henko as a gift. but sometimes all three girls would watch as henko formed fire out of thin air with just her will, divined which of the girls had been given a marked robe to wear, deflect arrows with unseen walls of force, or (their personal favorite) watched as Joanna and Henko played a sporting game of 'ping-pong' using the shrines entire acreage as the board, and large rocks weighing several hundred pounds as the ball.

and there were the nightmares. more than once, after that first night, one of the girls would stay over, and once again, they heard her in that strange language again, screaming and thrashing in her sleep. they found that some nights, all it took was one of the girls to bring their friend a peaceful sleep, while other nights it took all three of them to keep her from setting the shrine on fire. and a melancholy had taken over their friends face. now, two weeks later, the trials were over, and the four wondered what would happen next?

an aging gangster sat in the center of his casino/nightclub. He chomped on a cigar, with hands and fingers that shook much less than before the past few weeks, a tic he made it a point to emulate so as none would suspect that where once he could crush walnuts from shells, now he could easily crush bricks and bend metal bars with just hands alone, and where once there was sagging energy levels and a feeling of death's shadow upon him, there was vigor and energy that he hadnt felt since his teens.
To his side, the girl he had known as Vanessa poured him a drink, asking him how the night had went, and making cheery conversation, and again, Matsuzaki found himself smiling as he and the youma woman talked. She amazed him with tales of the dark kingdom, and how their time in the human world changed them (for the better, she would always add) always while slowly savoring a small plate of cheesecake, that the two slices she permitted herself daily took the entire day to disappear though it was obvious that she drew no nourishment from it, she also gained no weight either, as in her words 'it fed a cosmic furnace somewhere beyond time and space...'

Matsuzaki watched as Onyx sat with his 'war council' and listened in. to his right sat Ikari-sensei, she would describe in dull tones how much dream had been made the day before down to the seventh decimal place of an ounce by hand, and then verifying with a scale. if the scale gave a different number, the scale would be tested, then recalibrated, finding that the scale was in need of maintenance.
to Onyx's Left, Seth would recite numbers, places where the senshi were seen or pictures taken and helped label a map of places to avoid, usually at the same time that Ikari-sensei was speaking, while across from him, the young, German, boy Ulrich would complain of boredom while they waited for some sort of paperwork to clear up, he would discuss family history, whereupon he would learn all about the ancient warrior Nathanial's decendants, how they changed from royal knights and protector's of dragons, to crusaders, then murderer's and assassins, to dragon-killers themselves and how the corruption from one battle had undermined the nobility that nathanial's lineage in less than three generations. and to matsuzaki's suprise Onyx would respond with three seperate statements in three seperate breaths, without missing a single point in the conversations he was holding. reminding the aging gangster that even beyond their looks, that lord Onyx, Tick-Tock, and the others (save young Ulrich) were not human.
he noticed small things though, that the group had changed over the two weeks they had been there. Ikari had changed the most physically, while still human in appearance, small things about her had changed, her hair now had streaks of silver, and occasionally arcs of lightning would flash between her eyes, her physique had well fleshed out, and she had taken up the wearing of fancy Ginza-dresses that showed off her body where, not long before, the clothes would have been baggy on her and ill-fitting at best. a sensual aspect of her had also emerged, where once she hungered for the drugs that kept her performance at peak, now she savored the looks that flowed her way, exulting in the energies, and onyx commented that it was a sign that three of the beast-gods had already infused their power into her, Ramah; the eternal lorekeeper, Shiva; icy queen of logic and beauty, and Dark Diablos, who gravitated to those seeking earthly pleasures, king of the incubi. Seth, however, could easily pass for human now, where he once dressed like a bikepunk in order to blend-in with his otherwise inhuman appearance, he had grown quickly to impersonate a human being. even going so far as to sate his growing facination with Onion rings and a burger.
Onyx though held his attention usually, his ability to seperate himself to multi-task so well, was Matsuzaki's astonishment. once he had learned what Onyx sought, he had begun having his 'soldiers' investigate places and shops where the stone Onyx searched for, reaching one shop that the owners simply were nowhere to be found. finding many trinkets though, it seemed like a good place to keep an eye out.

But Onyx never once waivered. never showed any display of anger or impatience at the lack of progress. "We're making steady progress, with every day, with every person who visits us...." and Matsuzaki understood well, he too heard a voice in the back of his mind, heard the whisperings of the dragon queen, Tiamat, and saw the spirals of dark energy that now flowed within so many customers. a little batlike imp of those marked by Diablos, that would perch on a dream-user's shoulder, the icy flurries of one marked by Shiva at a sudden win at the tables, patrons who's passions burned with the fires of Ifrit's strength on the dancefloor making a sensual tango, resemble a chaste squaredance.

Yes. the Aging gangster thought, his forked, reptillian tounge flicking like a dragon sitting on a pile of gold. Our numbers are growing QUITE well indeed.

That made it 4 for 4 so far, which meant Ami still had one more friend to call.  After dialing Makoto's number, Ami patiently waited for the brunette to pick up the phone.  After hearing Makoto's voice, Ami greeted "Moshi moshi, Mako-chan," then asked her friend "Would you like us to all meet outside the hospital for a change?  Usagi-chan, Achyan-chan, Rei-chan, Minako-chan, and I have all agreed to meet at the café in about 25 minutes.  We'd love it if you could join us to make it a full house!"

Makoto had roused from her bed full of energy and hungry from the previous nights exertions she was making it a point to practice with her new form to see how much longer she could maintain it, and making sure to watch, from a safe distance, that strange casino several nights a week. making reports and sending them to Ami to analyze. now that her friend was free from the hospital and safely home once more, she knew it was just a matter of time before she'd receive a call and sure enough, just after she'd stepped out of the tower and had begun to dry off, she heard the phone ring, so she quickly wrapped the puffy green towel around her body and bounded for the phone, the reciever being slick from her hands, she fumbled with the phone a few seconds before she finally answered "Moshi Moshi??" she asked and smiled when she heard the other end.
"Moshi Moshi Mako-chan, would you like us to all meet [i]outside[i]the hospital for a change? Usagi-chan, Achya-chan, Rei-chan, Minako-Chan and I have all agreed to meet at the cafe in about 25 minutes, We'd love it if you could join us and make it a full house!"
Makoto let out a squee of delight and responded "Of course! do you mind if i just dress casual? just stepped out of the shower, so im going to have to dash if im going to make it in time! should i bring anything, i made some muffins the other day, id love to share, the blueberry ones especially!"

when the phone conversation was over, Makoto dashed back to her room, threw open a closet door, quickly scanning the outfits hanging selecting a breezy sundress/slip combo, a pair of sleek pumps with straps around her shins, an airy sun-hat to keep the light out of her eyes, and a see-throgh shawl to cover her shoulders, she looked at herself in the mirror appraising her cuteness factor and it came up '9501-OK'
grabbing a small purse, her communicator, her henshin wand, and her keys, she promptly dashed out the door, eager to meet with her friends.

ooc: well...damn, i lost track of time (yeah, big surprise) though mostly due to dealing with stuff here around the house again, my sister and her bf are long since gone now (one less bit of stress in the life), we spent nearly two weeks straightening up the house. and while finances are still kinda caca atm, hopefully they will be resolved soon (hopefully in time to make it for fall term). I'm sorry that henko and Onyx get long story/plot development posts that are a mile long and Mako-chan gets something so short in comparison. thats because, i do plan to see more with Makoto than with Onyx and Henko so their longer posts are meant to show that things are moving along as they need to be.

"Casual is fine - in fact, that's probably how the rest of us will all dress," Ami replied to Makoto with a big smile. "And while you don't need to bring anything, you certainly may if you want." After all, Ami knew that even though cafés normally didn't like outside food being brought in, she realized that Motoki-tachi probably wouldn't object, since they were frequent customers.

At the appointed time, all five inner girls were gathering at the café. They would probably notice that the buzz from the other customers in there was about a 'collision' that had happened outside the back corner of the café - the corner with windows where the five girls normally sat.

OOC : Yes, that's a reference to what Ryuusei did to that truck.

Setsuna smiled at Sakuya and Michiru "Then the beach it is! And, if we want to go do something else while we're there, then we could go to the zoo, as Sakuya-chan suggested." Then Setsuna looked at Hotaru with a sweet smile as her first adopted daughter sheepishly asked about going out with Hikaru "I think that'd be a good idea. I trust him. I'd just want to know where you two are going on your little date." Her smile turned a little mischievous as Setsuna said that last phrase. Then she concluded with one sentence to Hotaru and one sentence to the rest of them "So unless Michiru-chan has any objections or qualifications, you're free to do that, Hotaru-chan. Anyway, let's get ready for all that right after breakfast, okay?"

Meanwhile...Vita and Hayate had gotten nice and settled in at their seats right on the other side of plants from where Rei was seated waiting for her friends...

Their orders soon arrived and Hayate smiled "So... you saw the senshi at the mall? That was nice..."

"Nice?" Vita said. "There was fighting going on...plus I was trying to find you! I was worried sick!!!"

Hayate gave her younger sister her normal warm loving smile which drove Vita up the wall half the time .

"I was fine..I told you..." She softly sipped her tea. "So did you get their autograph?"

"Get their....their.what??" Vita stammered. "I told you...they were fighting...and I was trying to find you...there was no time for an autograph!!!"

"Maybe next time..." Came the cheery response..

"N..N...next time?" Vita gasped in dismay... "I don't WANT a next time thank you!!!!"

"Awwwww..." Hayate said cutely. "But I thought you'd want to since you're also..."

Vita covered her mouth. "Enough...just eat...gessshhhh..."

Hayate promptly began to nom on Vita's small hand.

"STOP THAT!!!"

When Daisy heard Hoshiko list her personal favorite colors, his face brightened "Doze three are vewy nice colors, yes! Fo' example, I've awways liked blue myself."

Bellbud nodded in understanding in response to Hoshiko's mentioning her clothing lines. When Hoshiko mentioned she has a hard time working orange into her clothing designs, Bellbud again nodded in understanding, stating thoughtfully "I see why. Orange seems to only match certain shades of red; it doesn't seem to go with ..."

At that point, Bellbud was interrupted by the sound of a truck honking its horn a few blocks away, followed by what sounded like someone pounding metal and a masculine voice yelling for someone (or something) to die. In response to hearing that, Bellbud's face took on a worried look. This made Daisy ask "We should invesdigade dat, shouldn'd we?"

Bellbud nodded in response to Daisy's question, then quickly turned to the other girl there "Do you mind if we go investigate that, Hoshiko-san?"

OOC : I thought it'd be interesting to have these three charas also head towards the scene between Ryuusei and the truck. I hope you don't mind me using it as sort of a mass gathering point .

When she had come out of her apartment building to its nearest bus stop, Ami had noticed that she had just missed a bus (it left that stop just a little before she got there). So she had had to wait the full several minutes until the following bus on that route came. Which made her arrive second at the café.

When Ami got into the café and noticed that Rei was already at their usual corner table, she was shocked for a second - because she was used to being the first of their little group of five to arrive everywhere. As she sat down at their usual table, Ami opened her mouth and prepared to ask Rei how she got here first. But then Ami remembered that she had just missed a bus, so she abruptly closed her mouth without saying anything about that.

As Ami was settling into her seat at their corner table, she started to notice the gossip from most of the other customers in the café. Surprised that what they were talking about could be happening, Ami turned to look out the window next to their table. That's when she saw the aftermath of the teeenage boy punching that truck. Amazed at the sight, Ami couldn't help staring out the window at it - even though she knew that staring was considered rude.

Hoshiko's eyes widened when she heard the yelling, turning towards the sound. She nodded at Bellbud and Daisy. "We should all go, people might need help." Not even waiting for their response she took off at a run, knowing instinctively that they would follow her. She soon found where she was looking for, as a crowd was gathering. She stood there, senses on high alert. For someone to cause this much damage, they had to have some kind of power, and if they were still around, she wanted to be the one to get the drop on them to prevent more damage, or worse...casualties.

(OOC: If Rei is there, she may sense the presence of a new senshi and may get a flash of Sailor Lyra's final form as seen in the pics section)

"What the HELL are you doing?! Was what the driver wondered as he watched this kid wearing rags and covered in numerous cuts and bruises...and a chain-link pattern around his arm which resembled a tattoo; punch the grill of his truck bare-knuckled. Yet the kid didn't respond, he just kept punching the front of the vehicle and ordering it to 'die'. The driver was about to grab the youth, but stopped as the kid unleashed his last punch...which  caused the massive vehicle to lurch back about a foot. "Oh s**t!" Boy was he glad he vacated the cab when this started...and that he wore his brown pants today as he watched the front end of the cab being mashed in and all the windows shatter. There was also a hole in the grill now which leaked was leaking oil and other fluids.

Seeing as the metal monstrosity was 'bleeding', the green-haired youth who barely stood over 5 feet tall, finally turned to the man who'd been cursing at him. Panting heavily, the teen snapped at him. "WHAT?"

There was an odd look to those bright green eyes, like this kid was high. Combine that with how freakishly strong he seemed and it was obvious that he had roid rage and would murder him the first chance he got. "No...nothing man!" Waving his hands defensively. "I-I don't need this f**king job, so if you want to trash my rig go for it! It's all yours!" And ran into the large crowd of people that formed and pushed his way through.

Vita sighed as she heard a disturbance outside while her and Hayate were busy drinking their milkshakes.

"My sounds like someone got a parking ticket..." Hayate joked. "Wanna go see what's happening?"

Vita shook her head vehemently. "No... There's already enough gawkers there.. If something starts smashing on the window....then we'll know it's time to act..."

"That doesn't sound like my little sister.." The brown haired girl grinned. "You always rush towards trouble..."

"Yeah...but what could go wrong on this street...if it was ...one of those things...I'd know by now already...I...think..."

Hayate laughed.... and Vita slapped her head. "Just let me finish this shake...okay?"

Iori Minase herself was just leaving the Ringo Dance studio when she saw the trouble on the road... She wasn't sure what fully had happened...but someone's truck seemed to be heavily damaged and some disheveled bloke seemed to be having angry words at him.

Iori had no way what had happened or how the truck had gotten so badly damaged but she sure didn't want to get in the middle of the argument... So she crossed to the far side of the street and tried to walk by non-nonchalantly.

Minako got off the phone with Ami and headed to the cafe where they were going to meet. When she got there she saw the crowd and then saw the busted up vehicle from a distance. 'What in the name of Venus happened here? I better tell the girls but I bet they already know' She then made her way into the cafe and saw Rei and Ami in the groups usual place. She went over and said sitting down, "Hey you guys...did you see what was outside? I can't believe what i saw..."

When Rei greeted her upon her arrival, Ami smiled back "Hello, Rei-chan!" She was too distracted by the scene out on the street to notice what Rei was doing. Though when Minako arrived, and referenced the obvious, Ami stopped looking at the scene long enough to tell the blond girl with the large bow in her hair "Of course. Looks like trouble may have found us again."

Usagi was late to arrive with the other girls, as usual. As she was rushing toward the café, she noticed the scene developing on the street behind the café. Usagi noticed that it involved a big rig, though she passed by too quickly to notice much more about it.

After she got inside the café, Usagi hurried toward their usual corner booth. As she did so, she noticed most of the chatter from the other customers in the café was about the scene involving the big rig, of course. It was understandable - after all, most of them didn't see a sight like this every day, like her and her close friends did.

Finally arriving at their corner booth, Usagi sat down with them, greeting her close friends "Ohayo, minna-san! It looks like this may be one of our usual days." As she waited for their responses, Usagi noticed the two girls at the next booth over talk about investigating the scene some more, which made her wonder who they were.
